State Street strengthens asset owner business with senior appointments
State Street Corporation announced the appointment of Benjie Fraser as the regional segment head for asset owners in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Fraser’s appointment follows that of Katherine McCabe, who joined State Street last year as North America asset owner sales head.
The senior appointments are the latest in a series of strategic moves and enhancements State Street has made in the past year to strengthen its talent, enhance its technology and deepen relationship with its asset owner clients. Fraser will work closely with Babloo Sarin, asset owner segment head for APAC and Rob Baillie, North America asset owner segment head, to ensure strategies are aligned at a global level, while also being tailored at a local market level across the EMEA region.
“We are very pleased to welcome Benjie back to State Street to help build on the strong foundation we have in place for asset owners,” said Ian Martin, executive vice president and global head of asset owners. “His experience and industry leadership will be vital as we continue to drive sustainable revenue growth, achieve greater diversification of asset classes and foster deeper relationships with clients in EMEA.”
Prior to joining State Street, Fraser led the global pensions business at J.P. Morgan. With more than 15 years of industry experience, he is an active leader and a regular speaker on industry topics including ESG and trends in public funds. Prior to J.P. Morgan, Fraser worked for both State Street and BNY Mellon.
McCabe joined State Street from BNY Mellon, where she spent 25 years in various roles, including serving as US head of asset owner business development.
