Capital Four US announces three senior hires for the New York office
Capital Four, a leading independent global credit asset management boutique, today announced the hiring of 3 senior professionals in New York further strengthening the US investment capabilities.
The 3 new hires bring the US team to a total of 14 experienced professionals led by Jim Wiant, CEO, Partner and Portfolio Manager of Capital Four US. Capital Four’s US team has significant industry experience averaging more than 14 years. Alex Basman, Jamie Burns, and Rob Lasner have joined the US team which is responsible for investing across credit strategies.

Alex Basman joins Capital Four as an Analyst from Allspring Global Investments (Wells Fargo Asset Management) where he was a Senior Analyst for more than 20 years. While there, he covered a variety of sectors including Healthcare and Chemicals.
Previously, he was an Analyst at Aetos Capital where he focused on hedge fund investment risk and analytics. Prior to that, Alex was an Analyst at American Century Investments where he focused on fixed income analytics and risk.
Jamie Burns joins Capital Four as an Analyst from Investcorp Credit Management (and, prior to its acquisition by Investcorp, Marble Point Credit Management) where he covered various Industrials and Business Services sectors as an Analyst. While there, he also covered the firm’s distressed, stressed and opportunistic investments.
Previously, Jamie was a Senior Associate at American Capital focused on Industrials for CLOs, managed accounts and a BDC. Prior to that, he was an Associate in leveraged finance at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He began his career at Stockamp & Associates as an Associate serving as a consultant.
Rob Lasner joins Capital Four US as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer responsible for all aspects of operations, finance and compliance. Most recently, Rob was Head of Operations at Inherent Group. While there, he was responsible for operations across all of the firm’s investment strategies which entailed hedge fund and long-only strategies involving high yield, bank loans, and structured credit as well as other asset classes.
He brings experience across the fund infrastructure spectrum having managed workflows in operations, accounting, reporting, investor relations, marketing, and compliance. Rob's prior asset management operations experience includes Owl Creek Asset Management and Ziff Brothers Investments.
Capital Four US manages $3 billion across credit strategies including CLOs, traditional mandates and opportunistic mandates for institutional investors.
