Benoit Sorel appointed as Global Head of ETF at Amundi
Benoit Sorel has been appointed as Global Head of ETF, Indexing & Smart Beta business line at Amundi.
Prior to joining Amundi, Sorel was a Managing Director at BlackRock, responsible for leading the EMEA product and distribution strategy for ETFs & Index Investing, based in London since 2018. Before this, Sorel was heading sales for ETFs & Index Investing for France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Monaco at BlackRock (2011-2018).
Earlier in his career, he held several senior positions in business development on equity derivatives at Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank (2007-2011) and Bank of America (2006-2007) and was in the sovereign advisory team at Lazard Frères (2001-2006).
Sorel began his career in 1999 at Credit Agricole Indosuez in Corporate Debt Restructuring and Export finance in Jakarta. He is a graduate from ESCP-EAP with a major in Finance.
