Michael Bennett has been appointed as Director of Client Solutions, USA, at Empira Group. With more than 15 years of experience raising over $ 5 billion in equity capital at leading investment companies, Bennett’s diversified set of skills and strong institutional capital relationships will be an asset to Empira Group as it continues to expand and unlock broader opportunities in the U.S. and beyond.
Throughout his career, Bennett has successfully driven capital raising processes for investors in multifamily, industrial, office, student housing and life science asset classes in the U.S. and Europe. He specialises in structuring capital partnerships with funds, programmatic joint ventures, and large, complex direct asset transactions.
'As Empira Group accelerates global growth and fosters relationships with new and existing institutional investors, we saw an increased need to identify a seasoned professional with a proven track record in North America’s capital market', said Lahcen Knapp, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Empira Group. 'We are pleased to welcome Michael to the team and look forward to continuing momentum and bringing utmost value to our clients.'
Prior to joining Empira Group, Mr. Bennett began his career at Morgan Stanley with their real estate private equity funds ('MSREF') focused on acquisitions, asset management and capital raising. In 2002, Michael stepped away from Morgan Stanley and served six years as a highly decorated non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Army 75th Ranger Regiment Special Operations. Upon his return to real estate, Michael effectively raised capital as both agent and principal with Hodes Weill, Round Hill Capital and Tribeca Investment Group.
Michael Bennett added, 'Empira Group is quite unique and well positioned to grow the business through credit and equity strategies that offer clients optimal risk adjusted returns in all parts of the capital stack. I am very excited to join the team and foster new relationships with North American institutional capital.'
