David Montoya appointed as Fixed Income Client Portfolio Manager at Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale

David Montoya has been appointed as Fixed Income Client Portfolio Manager at Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale. In this new role, Montoya reports directly to Alexandre Menendez, Head of Client Portfolio Management.

Montoya brings with him a solid expertise in fixed income strategies. He will play a crucial role in advancing the development of Crédit Mutuel Asset Management's fixed income capabilities across Europe. His responsibilities include collaborating closely with the fixed income portfolio management team and La Française’s distribution platform to ensure that the asset manager’s investment strategies align with client needs and market cycles.

Montoya has over seven years of experience in financial markets including the asset management industry beginning with La Française AM in 2017 as a credit analyst, specialized in High Yield. He joined TSAF in 2019 were he rapidly advanced to a Credit Broker position, covering the Iberian and French markets. Thereafter, he was a credit analyst, specialized in the healthcare sector, for AXA GIE. Before rejoining La Française in 2024 as a Fixed Income Client Portfolio Manager, Montoya was CFO for PM-SA, a film production company.

Montoya holds a master’s degree in Asset Management from the University of Paris Dauphine (PSL) and is a CFA Charterholder. He did his undergraduate studies in Economics and Finance at Toulouse School of Economics (TSE) and Rosario University (Colombia), respectively.
