Andrea Palmer
ESG & Responsible Investment Lead, Listed Real Estate, PGGM
Andrea Palmer is ESG & Responsible Investment Lead for PGGM’s Global Real Estate Securities portfolio. She oversees integration of ESG into underwriting, portfolio construction and engagement with the real estate sector. Prior to PGGM, Palmer worked at LaSalle IM, GRESB and Triodos IM. She studied marketing research at Aurora University in the US and Real Estate Development and Sustainable Urbanization at IE School of Architecture and Design in Spain. She holds a Series 7 license (US FINRA) and SASB FSA Credential. -

Derk Welling
Senior Portfolio Manager Responsible Investments Real Estate
Derk Welling is Senior Portfolio Manager Responsible Investment Real Estate and member of the Global MT Real Estate at APG Asset Management. He serves as chair of the interim Board at CRREM Foundation, and is member of the PRI Real Estate Advisory Committee, IIGCC Real Estate Working Group and the SBTi Expert Advisory Group. Until January 2021 he was also a member of the INREV ESG Committee. Welling was the initiator and co-founder of the Dutch Green Building Council. Before joining APG Asset Management Welling served for 10 years as Head of Corporate Responsibility at REDEVCO. He was member and co-chair of the ICSC Sustainability committee in Europe. Before REDEVCO Welling worked at Ballast Nedam N.V. He also worked as a consultant with PwC. Welling studied Civil Engineering at the Delft University of Technology and holds a PhD in Management Science from the University of Groningen. In 2014 he completed the Oxford Impact Investing program, as well as the Impact Investing program at the Duisenberg School of Finance. He participated in the leadership development program at IMD Lausanne and holds a MSc in investment management (RBA / CEFA) from the VU University Amsterdam. -
Jai Patel
Managing Director, Co-Head, Real Estate Debt, ICG Real Estate
Jai Patel is a Managing Director and Co-Head of Real Estate Debt at ICG Real Estate. He rejoined ICG Real Estate in January 2020 and was previously responsible for ICG’s residential development strategy before September 2023, has since been jointly responsible for the day-to-day implementation of ICG Real Estate’s Debt strategies and serves as an Investment Committee member. Prior to joining ICG, Patel spent two years at Amro Partners - a real estate investment firm investing, developing and managing purpose built residential assets. As Investment Director he was responsible for acquisitions, capital raising and financing. Prior to this he held various credit investing roles at ICG Real Estate & Barclays. Patel holds a BA in Industrial Economics from University of Nottingham. -
Kimberly Pilling
Senior Director, Investment Relations
Kimberly Pilling leads Investor Relations for Nuveen Green Capital where she holds primary responsibility for building, maintaining, and managing relationships with NGC investors, as well as the development of new products. Previously, Pilling worked on the investment team at Urban Edge Properties. Prior to joining Urban Edge, she worked on the real estate M&A advisory team at EY. Pilling holds a Masters Degree in Real Estate from Georgetown University, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Baruch College. -

Marco van der Geugten is senior portfolio manager Infrastructuur binnen de Real Assets afdeling bij MN. Hierbij is hij primair verantwoordelijk voor de advisering inzake strategieontwikkelingen en het beheer van de Infrastructuur portefeuilles van MN. Naast Infrastructuur houdt hij zich bezig met Bosbouw en adviseert de opdrachtgevers van MN op het gebied van impact investeringen. Van der Geugten is ruim 17 jaar werkzaam bij MN en heeft diverse posities vervuld, waaronder geruime tijd als fiduciair adviseur op het gebied van beleggingsstrategieën en mandaten. -
Paul Oremus
Managing Director NL and Fund Manager, CBRE Investment Management
Paul Oremus is Managing Director NL and Fund Manager at CBRE Investment Management. He has 25 years’ experience in the real estate industry. Oremus joined the company in 1998 in the Treasury and Risk department and moved to the Corporate Control department in 2000. Following different roles within the company--including CFO/COO Netherlands - he was appointed Fund Manager of the CBRE Dutch Residential Fund (DRES) in 2014 and launched the CBRE European Residential Impact Fund (ERIF) as Fund Manager in 2021. -
Peter Koppers

Peter Koppers werd in 2024 benoemd tot Director Investment Management bij Achmea Real Estate. Hij trad in 2012 in dienst bij Achmea als senior analist en groeide later door naar de functie van Portfolio Manager. Voor zijn benoeming tot director was hij vijf jaar lang Fund Manager. Voor Achmea, werkte Koppers als Senior Analyst bij MSCI, waar hij waardevolle ervaring opdeed in marktonderzoek en investeringsanalyse. Naast zijn rol bij Achmea Real Estate geeft Koppers les in portfolio management aan de Amsterdam School of Real Estate (ASRE). -
Peter van Apeldoorn

Peter van Apeldoorn has over 20 years of investment management and banking experience with a focus on logistics, transportation, industrial, energy, renewables, utilities and grid companies. Van Apeldoorn has over 15 years of structured finance experience in project finance, leveraged finance, structured loan syndication and asset-based finance. He has asset Management experience as buy-side equity analyst for the automotive and industrial sectors. -
Sjoerd Berkhout

Sjoerd Berkhout is sinds mei 2022 Portfolio Manager bij a.s.r. real assets investment partners en werkte daarvoor bij de rechtsvoorganger Sweco Capital Consultants. a.s.r. ip adviseert institutionele beleggers over wereldwijde investeringen in real assets (vastgoed, infrastructuur en natural capital). Berkhout is relatiebeheerder van twee Nederlandse pensioenfondsen en tevens ESG specialist binnen het team. Eerder werkte hij tien jaar bij ING, voornamelijk bij de Real Estate Finance afdeling. Hij heeft een MSc in economie van de Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. -
Vincent van Bijleveld
Managing Director, GREEN (Global Real Estate Engagement Network)
Vincent van Bijleveld is verantwoordelijk voor het Duurzaam Beleggen Adviesteam van Finance Ideas. Naast het bieden van hulp bij het opzetten, implementeren en monitoren van een science based MVB-beleid is dit team gespecialiseerd in het namens klanten aansporen (engagement) van onder andere vastgoedfondsen om meer werk te maken van verduurzamen en het managen van klimaatrisico’s. Van Bijleveld is Kwantitatief Econoom/Actuaris en heeft eerder gewerkt als Partner/Director bij Willis Towers Watson en bij duurzame asset manager ACTIAM.
