Head of ESG for Real Estate, abrdn
Georgie Nelson is Head of ESG for Real Estate at abrdn heading up ESG strategy and integration for abrdn’s real estate investments business with a specialist expertise in climate and biodiversity. Georgie sits on numerous expert industry working groups both in the UK and globally including the Better Buildings Partnership (BBP), the British Property Federation (BPF), the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) and the Association of Real Estate Funds (AREF). Nelson joined the company in 2014 from Carbon Intelligence. She holds a BSc in Biological Sciences and an MSc in Climate Change and Development. -
Maaike Hof
Co-Lead, GREEN, Senior Advisor, Finance Ideas, Board Member and Investment Committee Member, SPF
Maaike Hof is co-Lead of the Global Real Estate Engagement Network (GREEN), the collaborative engagement network focused on improving climate risk management in the real estate industry. She is employed as a Senior Advisor by Finance Ideas, which is coordinating GREEN. In addition to her role at Finance Ideas, she is also a Board Member and Investment Committee Member of SPF, the pension fund for physiotherapists. She has gained over 15 years of experience in real estate portfolio management and sustainability at pension service providers. -
Sarita Gosrani
Director of ESG and Responsible Investment, bfinance
Sarita Gosrani, CFA, leads bfinance’s ESG advisory unit and is responsible for the firm’s ESG and sustainability initiatives. She was formerly Head of ESG Research at XPS Pensions Group and has more than a decade of experience in financial services, pensions and investments. She was also an investment consultant to several UK corporate pensions schemes allowing her to take a bigger picture view when working with clients on responsible investment. She sits on bfinance’s Responsible Investment Committee and is Chair of the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Gosrani is a CFA Charterholder and holds an Honours Bachelors degree with a double major in Economics and Human Geography from University of Toronto, Canada.
